Its a good blade dont get me wrong, it just vibrates soo much, I cant take it. Its good to loop ans serve, has good dwell time and nice speed when attacking but... the vibrations annoy me.

Yes it has vibration but overall i think its a super blade with great control and its got a lot of gears soft slow brush loops all the way to thunderous high speed loop kills.

I purchased the Avalox 550 approximately 4-months ago. My first impression was that it's a springy, light blade, with good speed / control. I also found it to be an excellent looping blade. I went with the AVX Sterco rubber on both sides and have been very pleased with the combination. I have not had any problems with vibrations, however, this is probably due to the type of rubber I am using.

Awesome blade! The weight is key to everything. 78g, a full 10g lighter than most blades. Mine is penhold.

This may sound trivial, but the LIGHTER SWINGWEIGHT gives me a few more milliseconds of quickness, allowing me to reach and defend seemingly impossible cross-court shots.

They really have done a great job balancing out speed/control on this blade.

On the vibration issue -- I have 2 of these in penhold with zero vibration. A friend bought shakehand version and the vibration, or hollow sounding "bonginess" is very noticeable. Used Sterco rubber on both blades, so the rubber has nothing to do with it. Who knows why certain ones seem to vibrate, although it does not affect play at all. More of a personal thing.

I have other Avalox blades but never tried this one because of the lower weight, until recently when I get the 87 grams copy.

Boy, I should have used this in the first place, instead of the BT555 or BT777. Probably because of the weight, my BT550 is as fast as my BT555 (or even faster) with much better feeling !!! I was afraid that it will not be good for hitting / blocking, but it is still OK, although not as good as my BT555. For looping, this is the masterpiece !!! The catapult effect can give extra speed and kick at the other end of the table.

Although mine is 87 grams, it is very balanced. I used Sterco both sides and felt quite a bit of vibration. Before, I used Boost TC and Mendo Energy and the vibration was much less.

Yes, you should try BT550, but if you like to play with stiff carbon blades, this one is not for you.

I reduce vibration with glue alteco around handle and neck without rubber (cpen), more good fotr hitting, smash flick and suitable for my playing close to table. I am happy for blocking agains smash and looping. I am using hexer for fh and spin art for bh.

One of the best allround looping blades. Similar to Stiga Allround but better for loop/not as good for smashing. Flexible, medium soft, big catapult. Good, light weight for high control. Most of the US1100 loopers using TBS and T05 would gain 200 rating points just by using this blade for a few months.

Bought this because I'm an intermediate player trying to take my game to the next level, and I was told by more experienced players that a slower, control oriented racket in place of my OFF racket was a step in the right direction. So...

High quality Swedish craftsmanship. It's very well made. I know wood and racket construction better than most, and this is an excellent blade in that respect.

My FL handle is medium thick. I have big hands, and this is okay. But I wouldn't want it any smaller.
The handle design is great, though. Feels comfortable.

I put some 2.0 Gambler Six Shooter on it. There's a lot of vibration. Doesn't bother me, but it might some people.

The feel on shots is superb, especially pushes and chopping. I'm keeping all sorts of shots on the table that I was bouncing off the walls with my other racket. This is true of looping shots as well.

This blade is sealed. I have changed out the rubber once, and it came off with no splinters. Well done, Avalox.

I don't notice a problem with power. It's much slower, but I can still hit cracking shots from both wings. If anything, I can hit harder, because I can keep the ball on the table consistently.

I would recommend this racket to just about anybody. It's not exciting, but it is serviceful, controlled, and has excellent feedback. It's an excellent buy for the money.
