This blade was aptly named for its incredible solidity and power. Ball contact has so little effect on the Anvil that you get the impression you're wielding something far more massive (an anvil, perhaps?) If you like your blades with near-zero resonance (called vibration by some) then I see an Anvil in your future. Like the Fiddler, the Anvil is available in core thicknesses ranging from 4mm-7mm, where the 7 is what I call goofy fast.

The epoxied micro-ply Birch skins are very hard which makes the Anvil the ultimate OX LP weapon. Your pips will deliver more reversal and deception than you ever dreamed possible. Blocks that were defensive on your old blade will be so much faster on the Anvil that they'll become potent offensive weapons. You won't get a lot of dwell time on a blade like this, but who really needs dwell when you're packing an Anvil?

This is an excellent blade, it's hard, fast and very stiff. The touch is great. Recommended for hitters and blockers.
