Reviews of the Butterfly Amultart ZL Carbon

Review MichaelP said this on June 17, 2009:

Butterfly Amultart ZL Carbon is an excellent blade for the two winged looper. Combined with excellent speed, control, and thickness, it allows for deadly loops, flips and controlled drives.

It is very similar to the Mizutani Jun, but it is relatively thicker, and weighs more. This allows for more acceleration of the head, allowing for more powerful shots. On the downside, you sacrifice the speed of your strokes and some control.

As usual, the Butterfly blade is top notch quality. It is a great blade for any offensively oriented player. The price is pretty high, but it's exelent blade.
Review Sallom said this on July 30, 2009:

This blade is really amazing and worth every penny, you can create deadly loops with it from both wings.. Even though I use the penhold version but it is not that different. It is also heavy (e.g mine was 95g) which I really like!
Review Trevor said this on September 1, 2009:

Its a blade with a gorgeous manufacturing quality. However, I find it very hard and stiff, with little dwell time in comparison with a Mizutani and a Photino. The throw is lower (with Tenergy 05) and the feeling for the ball is much much worse. This blade is not for the advanced nor for the intermediate player, its for very advanced players, which have a direct offensive style. If you use variable loops, sometimes direct, sometimes with a lot of spin and feel, choose a different blade. However, I assume it is the perfect blade for the type of players from which it is supposed to be used, meaning players with direct hard attack which do not need much feel for the ball.

I have been playing with the Amultart for about a month! I use Andro max rubbers and my game has gone high up through the roof! Excellent blade! I have ben playing for 25 yrs and this blade is in my top 3! Excellent blade!
Review jpingchow123 said this on December 8, 2009:

This blade is possibly the best thing out there. Looping with this thing is simply beautiful. Along with looping, close table play from smashing to flicking are outstanding.
Drives and power drives with the Amultart ZLC becomes an art with this blade.
The blade is very fast, but the feel is great. So playing with this blade requires skill.
But overall, this is possibly the best Butterfly blade in my opinion

Review SPQR said this on January 10, 2010:

If you're a hard hitter this is the right blade for you!
The best combo I've tried so far is
Fh Xiom Zeta european
Bh Joola Express two

Blocks, drives and counter-loops are a breeze!
It's worth every cent!

Why it is said that this blade is exclusively for advanced players? My own & my students experience is quite contrary... right from intermediate up to very advanced & may be up to any level - this is a great blade - especially with T05... only thing is that one must have taste for what it offers - best for classic all-round offense

I have been playing Amultart ZL Carbon since 2008. It is the best blade if compare with Mazunov OFF+ and Sardius. I am happy with this blade!
Review ttgamer said this on January 24, 2012:

Seriously fast! I tryed this with Joola Energy x-soft (only 1.8mm) and it was unbelievably quick. Not recommended for beginners!

Review azwin said this on April 22, 2012:

I'm used the amultart for two weeks, this blade is great in speed and spin at every my game, but for control i'm not good, because for 3 years i'm play the pingpong is otodidax, maybe i need a special training for controlable this blade, cause i haven't a trainer. On rubber i used Haifu whale 2 for my forehand and LKT torrent gold for backhand...
Review somedumbslut said this on May 13, 2012:

This is a great blade, but requires careful rubber selection. I started using it with Butterfly Tenergy 25 FH and Yasaka Razka 9 BH, but found the combination of T25 and this blade too hard to control on the FH. It's not as spinny as it is fast, and that takes getting used to. When I switched BH/FH, I found the R9 just right in terms of looping and control.
Review azwin said this on May 30, 2012:

Magic touch with it and simply beautifull.Deadly loop, drive and chop very easy, smash is very speed spining.Tried with bryce rubber, then my game is going up,make me have a skill killer for my training partner. The blade is fantastic. Before,i'm used Kokutaku blutenkirsche and Butterfly Primo vittese, after using the amultart, then i using more the both of blade is very comfortable with good skill.Whatever, the amultart is super Fantastic..!! Thanks Butterfly..;-)

My personal rate:
Speed: 9.6
Control: 8.5

This was my first blade, Fast, decent control, moderate dwell time, pair it with 2.0 or lower for better control
Review smasher said this on March 1, 2013:

The ZLC with the wonderful outer soft wood laying help me much for upholding the ball at which I can feel fully and precisely control of my smashing and spinning line.

The components (core blade, ZLC and outer surface wood) contribute a perfect shock absorbing without any of vibration while maintaining a feeling of not so stiff. The bat itself is fast and good for blocking. It may less a bit all the hitting power while making up with high control is a worth deal.

The downside of this blade is easy to damage because it seems to me that its core is easy to rive and outer wood is flossy soft. However, I ultimately pick this blade and play it with a good care.
Review bounce said this on March 3, 2013:

good blade for direct offensive play, with low dwell time. not for loopers depending on variations in their loops. All in all a good blade but difficult to control. also quality diminishes over a period of time.
Review summer said this on March 13, 2013:

This blade is sure FAST! I mean it, REALLY FAST. But it can be played down up to the "ALL" level. If you have the control in your own hands and doesn't rely on the control a blade offers, you'll definitely love this blade! You can go Wang Liqin with power packed top spins, or joo se hyuk with thriller chops, fine, you can manage with this blade!! Some says it "chooses" right rubbers to play it well, but NO, it is a variable blade. It can be played from all- - off+++. Put euro rubbers, and you'll get the hell of spin out of it. Put chinese rubbers, and you're ready to make the ball rush in 5th gear, provided you can control it. Got mine previously paired up with hurricane 3 neo nat'l blue sponge (FH) and a donic coppa JO platin (BH), and I dominated many well respected players in our club. Anw, presently I'm fond of using my H-WL with H3neoBS (fh) and BTY sapphira (bh), my amultart is currently teamed up with yasaka Xtend HS (BH) and JO platin (FH) (I'm thinking of switching to H3 or Globe national.) If you have the dimes, Go for it!
Review A_R_T said this on June 1, 2013:

I'm a returning TT player. Played regularly 15yrs ago, now have been playing about 6 hrs /week for 3 months. When people say this blade only for advance player, i can safely say they dont know what they talking about or it's just too fast (can't control the blade). My game is mostly pushes, blocks, and plays spin game but occasionally counterloop or smash when opportunity arise. All I'm saying is this blade can do short game just good as other blades, not to mention gears for back table speed monster. I beat a friend who usually tough to beat. That really sums it up really.
