Description of Butterfly Jonyer Hinoki Special

The Jonyer Hinoki Special is a newer version of the original Jonyer Hinoki. It offers all of the unique playing characteristics of the classic Jonyer blade. Designed for the offensive player that needs good touch and feel around the table.

Reviews of the Butterfly Jonyer Hinoki Special

Review BT said this on May 22, 2010:

The blade looks very nice, handle and all, thanks to its Hinoki wood. It has some vibration which can be felt clearly as you toss a ball with it; however, in execution, especially when smashing, it feels rather solid.
If you are looking at this blade, you are probably an all-round player with an offensive bent. If you have been playing with an all-round blade, such as Andrzej Grubba, you will find this blade has more power and speed, and requires extra effort from you for control. After a while, you will get used to it. This blade can serve as an entry into the offensive level, and may not be appropriate for the beginners who are still developing their styles.
Butterfly website recommends a blade such as this one that gives players speed and control.

Really nice blade. Definetely not recommended for beginners. high intermediate to expert level players will love this blade due to its speed and weight! 3-4 yrs of practice is recommended before you start trying out this blade. Can ruin your stroke if you re a beginner ot low intermediate level player

Nice blade, for offensive play close to the table.

Need speed, on the Loop to Loop at the distance.

But a shiny nice blade for the Spin-offensive/Allround player
Review krok707 said this on April 20, 2013:

Tested for 2 weeks (FH T64 1.9, BH Stiga Boost TX/TS 1.8/2.0). I was impressed by supreme control, easy high-speed contra close to table or just block, short to short. Perfect for close to table, a little less for mid distance (depends on rubbers, Tenergy is definitely much better). I was really satisfied, so I bought one (as the tested one was CON I ordered ST). Played several months with this blade (changed on BH T64 1.7).
After about 4 month the blade became slower and as softer ("more dead"). The change was so evident that I don't play with this blade any more. Really pity.
