Reviews of the DHS Power-G PG3

Review OrigamiCake said this on November 6, 2009:

Pretty good. It was my first blade. A bit heavy but I lived with it. Good beginners blade.
Review seguso said this on March 11, 2013:

This is a fast, hard wooden blade with some flex. Perfect for powerlooping.

It is a cheap Hurricane King clone.

Flex: the blade is flexible but not very flexible. It is as flexible as Stiga offensive wood nct, but harder and much faster (and heavier).

It is faster than Stiga Offensive CR, because it is stiffer and harder. (also a little heavier)

speed: I'd say this is OFF+.

Thickness is 5.5mm at a glance, maybe 5.6mm.

This is a five ply blade.

The composition is koto-spruce-ayous-spruce-koto, like the old stiga offensive classic and the avalox p500.

the koto makes this blade very hard and fast. But the flex is there to give you dwell time and power in loops.

If you want even more flex (like the stiga offensive classic or stiga offensive cr) try dhs pg2, which is thinner and more flexible.

while good for power loopers, this blade is not very good for controlled loopers because it is bouncy due to koto. but you can probably compensate with soft rubbers.
