Description of Galaxy Carbokev K-3

The K series from Galaxy are all "CarboKev" blades, with 2 or more layers of CarboKev cloth between the wood plys. The K series in general are looping blades, but like with most Galaxy series, the numbers (K1, K2, etc.) do not have any pattern in how they play. Each blade is different.

What is CarboKev?

Each layer of cloth is made up of two fibers, the vertical is "carbon fiber" while the horizontal is made of "Kevlar" fibers. This gives the sweet-spot of carbon, but is a good amount softer.

Type: Loop

Reviews of the Galaxy Carbokev K-3

Review Jonan said this on April 19, 2010:

An odd blade, a controlled looping blade or even modern defensive setup with the right rubbers. Lots of flex due to its thin structure, has 2 layers of carbo-kevlar though, so a large sweet spot and slightly longer head than most other models, just barely though. Used it to chop with long pips, but has a lot of flex so some went long. Good control though.
