I agree that this blade has great speed and control, but it's way too stiff, and can only match with soft rubbers. In fact, I bought at least three XVT blades (this one, Zhang Jike ALC and ZL Koto), and all of them are stiff. Plus mine is overly heavy, over 120g, like a metal blade. So now I don't play with it - they shouldn't have sold it to me, but they did. Overall, I don't think this manufacturer can produce top class table tennis blades - most of them are stiff and fast blades, which are typical cheap ones. It reminds me that why Butterfly is so awesome (despite of overly priced) - simply because they can make tuned down but still fast blades. In the past years, XVT tried to clone the most popular Butterfly blades, but none of them succeeded, not even close.

I was looking for a blade All+/OFF- with excellent control and good touch, with a big sweet spot, preferable with Zylon Carnon like Bty Innerforce ZLC or Amultart but had no intention to spend 180$ . I found this XVT Hinoki recommended as a clone of Amultart and found the blade excellent, in every respect as good as the supposed "original". Block, push, smash or loop are easy and effective, whether close to the table or far away. The finishing is also of high quality. Mine is only a bit too heavy (93g), I know the weight of certain blades can go down even to 83 g which makes a significant difference. This is why I rated Consistency as "occasional variantions". I would like to correct the blade composition: it is Hinoki/ZLC/Kiri/ZLC/Hinoki, and when I tak a close look I have the feeling that the outer veneer is not a double but a single thicker layer of Hinoki, so the whole is composed not of 7 but 5 plies - but it's just an impression. Anyway it's not important and if so it would make this blade closer to Amultart which is a 5 ply blade. I like this blade so much that today I order a second one in case XVT abandons production like they did with the ZL Koto model.
