Description of Galaxy T-10
These blades are 10mm thick and very light, they suit Fast loop & attack. Very fast offensive wood with amazingly high ball control. The total thickness of this wood amounts to 10 mm, the nuclear veneer from Balsa is approx. 8.5 mm thick. The wood is stabilized by 2 thin carbon inserts, the external veneers is from Hinoki. The T-10 is somewhat faster than the T-6, above all however more softly in the attack, less rigid, as well as with particularly high self-acceleration (Trampoline effect) by the Balsa timber. Note: As with All Balsa Blades, the danger of fracture with this wood is above average. |

It broke :( With this blade you really have to be careful. But the speed is really out of this world. I really enjoy hearing the splat sound as the ball hits my friend's belly. MtBikerE said this on February 18, 2010:
The T10 is a super fast & hard hitting balsa carbon blade. It is strictly a hitting blade, well at least in my hands. Surprisingly it serves short & touch shots very well. I also enjoyed blocking with it. I tried using this blade as my primary set up for a few months & found over all that it was not suited for my play style & that it was not consistant enough for me.
Many balls would go well off the table, especially if you had to loop a ball back. The blade generates some spin. Overall i really liked many aspects of the blade, but in the end it was just to much for me to handle up close to the table. Away from the table its a monster as far as speed & power, especially if you can get a full swing on the ball. mike m said this on June 11, 2011:
I bought the T10 about a year ago and absolutely loved it. It was soooo fast! Very little effort was needed to deliver a high speed drive. It also makes a very nice popping sound when hit medium hard. I still love it, but at my level of play (USATT 831) it might have been a little too much. I seemed to hit a lot of pop-ups and balls off the end of the table. I recently switched to a 729 V6 blade with Sriver rubber, which is quite a bit slower. I feel like I have better control and that I stay in rallies longer with the slower blade. Also, the T10 balsa split down the length of it. It was an easy fix with some Elmer's glue, but the same thing happened to someone else at the club who has two of them. Matthew said this on September 17, 2011:
I got this as an experimental cheaper replacement for my Butterfly Balsa Carbo X5 which was chipping and separating over a few too many table clashes over the year. The T-10 is just as good but is similarly fragile, but this is probably the rule for balsa blades, the laws of physics being what they are. If you're going with balsa you need to budget for more frequent blade replacements, at least T-10 will save your wallet. I'm very happy with it for my close-to-the-table all-round play with spinny loop. Using with Gambler Outlaw for an aggressive but budget-friendly setup. Consider polyurethane before applying the rubber, and something to protect the edges from chipping. sports3dx.com said this on September 26, 2011:
The best blade ever I had. I would never use non carbon blades again. I'm 1600 player with this blade I'm using tenergy 64 on FH and T5 FX on backhand. Now I beat 1900 players easily. The best combination against long pips. I always wanted a blade which is rocket fast but very light. This blade is just 70g. watch out for new deals on www.sports3dx.com tenergy rubbers for $65. |
