Contribution Contest

To kick off the launch of the Table Tennis Database, we're holding a contest to build up the database with more comprehensive information. You can win great prizes!

Contest Rules

Contributors will get Contribution Points (CP) for their efforts. Each point counts as a raffle ticket to win our great prizes, so contribute more to increase your chances to win! We want contributions from the community to make our database more complete:

  1. Description (3 CP):
    Earn 3 CP for providing all of the description text on the original packaging of the product.
  2. Scanned image of Back Cover (5 CP):
    Earn 5 CP for scanning the back cover (or inside flap, if it's a multi-flap package). And even though the description is on the packaging, you'll still get another 3 CP if you type up the description text.
  3. Original Ratings (1 CP each):
    Earn 1 CP for each original manufacturer rating (eg. Speed, Spin, Control, Deception would earn you 4 CP!).
    NOTE: It must be the original manufacturer rating on the product packaging, not ratings given by retailers or other third parties.
  4. Product Detail (1 CP each):
    Earn 1 CP for each tidbit of information that is a missing field, such as Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) in USD, types of woods in a blade, etc. Also if the information is incorrect, then a correction is also worth 1 CP.
  5. BONUS: Create an Account (1 CP only):
    Create your user account and get 1 CP!
    NOTE: We are tracking IP addresses, so fraudulent accounts will be ignored.

  3. Username:Also specify your username
  4. Details: Clearly specify which product you are submitting for (give the full product name)

Rules

  1. Anyone found giving false information will be disqualified, and may get their IP address banned from the Table Tennis Database
  2. No Contribution Points are given for Equipment Ratings. This is to prevent people from giving many low-accuracy ratings to win the raffle. The integrity of our ratings is a big priority.
  3. Prizes have no cash value, but may be transferred to another party.
