I think I've fixed the background color issue.
Have you seen any vBulletin 4 templates that would be a good fit?
1) Don't force an input box background color
When using a dark appearance theme in your OS and a browser that has a good deal of system integration like Firefox 3.6.6 and Opera 10.60, chances are that your default input text will be light-colored and won't be visible against a white background. This is not an issue on another forum running vB that I'm a member of.
2) Install a couple of theme packs for us to use.
This one is not as critical as #1, but would be a nice feature to have.
I'm forced to use Chrome to post here even though I don't use it for anything else.

Quick reply still showing a white background. I'm lucky to have learned how to type blind. I'll check out a few and see. As for the appearance tweaks, I know it's not simple since vB4.. They changed a few thins and made it more complicated. Gonna look into some templates.
I checked out a few on Free VBulletin Templates, Themes and Styles - themesBase.com and I really liked Black Head Black Head - Jonhgest - vBulletin - Free Templates, Themes and Styles - themesBase.com Another decent option for variety is Solido Solido - Frankyd - vBulletin - Free Templates, Themes and Styles - themesBase.com I'm just not sure whether Solido has anything to add in comparison to the original forum theme.
Just wanted to offer some good news.. I finally found the browser option to eliminate some of that annoying OS integration, but it would still be nice to have other themes available if it's not too much work.
