Really strong reversal while choping away from teable but For attacking and close to teable game Cropcircles is better

Up to 6 months ago I would have said the Dawai 388D1 was the best rubber for pimple players... I have been playing with that rubber for over two years. However I gave the meteorite rubber a go and have found that control was far superior to that of the Dawei, deception and reversal may be fractionly less than the Dawei but this is acceptable due to the much better control. Counter hits are easier as well as blocks and chops. Ideal for long pimple players looking for that extra something in their game.

The rubber is much over-rated on this site. No idea why... Some ratings might come from the manufacturer, others from people with little experience with long pips.
Compared to Dragon Talon it offers far less to all around players. If you cannot afford the more expensive Dragon Talon go for it, but don't expect to shine, as your play will be limited by the rubber.
I didn't feel any significant differences between the classic and the soft versions of Meteorite.
Definitely not better than Dawei 388 D1, which you can get for about 4 USD from ttnpp :-)

My first long pimple use on backhand with very fast Ovcherov Donic Carbospeed blade .I do not use this rubber for defending only attacking very easy to attack with close to table. Excellent attacking rubber that causes many problems for opponents when used aggressively

Used this LP for a 16 months in 1.0mm red on stiff balsa blade ALL.
here are some thoughts about Meteorite 1.0mm RED:
Control is excellent.
Deception is great
Unpredicted trajectories can be produced easily with this pimple.
Good effects on ball.
Reversal is also impressive.
Easy to attack with.
Price is good- affordable for many.
Over all, Meteorite is one of the best ALL -round long pips , that will suite any style of play from pure DEF to ALL.
