Description of Friendship/729 729-2 Sensor

729-2 fast attack with loops at short court

The elasticity of the rubber is considerable with smaller shape change and powerful friction which makes accelerated loops easily to create. The soft sponge makes ball controlling free and backhand loops easy. For it is easier to stir the ball up at the table, it is an efficient weapon for those players who apply fast attack with loops at short court.

Very good and versatile chinese rubber. Probably one of the best chinese style rubbers that I have used on my backhand. Very good at looping, spinning and pushing.
Review gabcsi said this on September 2, 2008:

I read some good reviews so I ordered it.

Was kind of a disappointment, the sponge was much harder than expected. Ask the seller before buying this rubber. Mine was 45 deg and I did not like it too much. Could be a very good rubber around 38-40 deg, as some reviewers had it.

Fast, especially when glued. The throw was lower, maybe because of harder sponge. Block/drive is OK but I wanted a looping rubber.

i think this is a good chinese rubber. people who are looking for speed more than spin can go for this rubber.
overall, it is a good one which lasts for six months!
Review Glenn said this on June 13, 2009:

Speed and Spin and Control is rated without speed glue in comparision to other rubbers without speed glue. I would rate Tenergy as 9.5 or 10 for spin and NEW hard tensors as 9.5 0r 10 for speed.

The Tackiness of the rubber is obvious especially for the black one. However, this is only there initially. The tackiness disappears after time, and the rubber becomes a grippy one that NEVER STALLS on me before. (Unlike even roxon or an old sriver).

I rate the sponge hardess as medium compared to other Chinese rubbers. Its pretty hard compared to tensors (yes, even the so-called hard sponged Roxon 500 kind).

What i like about this rubber is the excellent control and many gears it has. I think it misses a top gear that would be there if you speed-glued it, but its sufficient when combined with a fast blade close distance to mid distance. One would have to generate his own power to take full advantage of this rubber.

A very durable rubber at a cheap price. Outstanding control. Definitely more than a match for srivers to me.

(not for those looking for extremely fast speed-glue effect rubber - this rubber doesn't have any)

I thought this would be good for spin-control. This sponge is TOO HARD. Fast drives are really tough since the tackiness fades away.

There are better rubbers out there.

very good rubber for those who looks forward to attack quick and end the point soon. i use it for my BH.

Excellent rubber, very good control.
Non-tacky top sheet. Black is soften than red.

Only about the 5th rubber I have used--so take this for what it is worth. By far the fastest rubber/sponge combo I have used. I will have to get used to the speed to keep return shots on the table. Spin is real good for serves and short game. It seems to have plenty of grip for looping as well. Sponge is much harder/more dense than I am used to. I was a fraid it wouldn't grip, but the top sheet is tacky enough that it still grabs and spins plenty.

Hard sponge (i think about 48) , very good control for short push, chop, block. Topspins are possible but with good technique.
Hitting is good but indeed not hyper speedy.
Good rubber for the backhand to slow the game down and to disturb opponent with short pushes. Very good at service return (tested against a B4 class Belgian player, i would say 2400 usatt rated).
No catapult effect at all compared to german tensors !
