This review is for Purot 40+ (max). Evidently Tianjin / Friendship made topsheet, sponge purportedly Japanese. Light weight. Speed 8.4, frictional spin Spin 8.3, mechanical spin 8.7 on a carbon blade. Mid-high throw. Topsheet face on red sheet uneven colour due to plastic that was sealed to topsheet from the factory. Very thin topsheet, thick and soft orange sponge.

Tacky style rubber but not very tacky when out the packet. Soft for control and good for RPB. Creates a lot of spin. Not too slow. Very similar to yasaka rubbers. Can be made more tacky with tackiness cleaners. Purot 40 is a much different rubber. The sponge seems quite lifeless and is soft and porous thus absorbing a lot of the energy of the incoming ball. The topsheet seems a lot more Chinese with shorter pips. It's slower and not as tacky as it's softer cousin but generates good spin and has higher control. Might be good for defence but I don't defend. Purot soft seems more of an attacking rubber

my first backhand love - played with it 1 year, this rubber is great for learning strokes, and its forgiving... its little bit slower than frienship focus 1 and 729fx...
