Description of Butterfly Sriver G2
Second-Generation-SRIVER for excellent ball control! The FX version of SRIVER G2 is recommend for a player who seek to achieve an effective balance between attack and control. High Tension SRIVER G2 is characterized by the fact that it enables a player to execute powerful strokes with a flat trajectory. Sriver G2 FX possesses a soft sponge, therefore produces excellent ball control and is easy to use. Also known as Butterfly Shriver G2. |

The G2 is rather hard on touch, but in play it feels like a solid medium. It does in fact play faster than the original Sriver, but somehow during harder hits, you don't get that nice crisp feel as you do with the original.
Also the spin has decreased slightly from its predecessor. tb_zlc said this on February 18, 2009:
Very good rubber, amazing for chopping, but also very good for looping, one thing that i am dissapointed with it is the speed, not as fast as butterfly says.I recommend the all-off blade to this rubber

Great all-round attacking rubber with a bit more pace than the traditional Sriver family.
Medium feel with low throw and great control. Good mechanical grip for loops, nice feel on blocks and flat hits. A bit faster than the G2 FX with the harder sponge, but still nice on the loop. Suits most blades, but lacks outright speed so proably a better fit with faster blades if you're a power attacker. Sasaki said this on September 14, 2010:

this rubber is amazing. i have been using it for 3 years now but it still works in its best shape. also its amazing for playing loops as well as chops. i must say that this rubber isnt a very fast spinner but its alright to get if you want to increase your skills. i basically started playing with this bat. i havbe been using -Mazunov FL OFF+. bat with this rubber. overall this rubber is good buy! I knew this rubber would be worse than Tenergy 05. But little did I know that it was way worse then I expected. No feel, hard as a rock, not much spin, medium speed. An unglued Sriver is even better. powerlefty said this on October 10, 2011:
Not worth the money. Nothing special. The original sriver is better and costs less money.
