Probably my favorite forehand rubber that I've used except that the price is a bit much, and a little heavy ( I like light rubbers). Good at all strokes.

This was a strange rubber to use. At first, I really was confused as to where the spin comes from because this rubber really is not tacky like Chinese rubbers (which I most often use), but it still produced great spin. After exploring Butterfly, I concluded that the spin comes largely from the dwell time of the ball on the rubber. This rubber has great spin and great control. It has a comfortable speed -- not too fast, not too slow. Tackifire Special-Soft is a good rubber for anyone to have. It's not really all that great for any specific kind of shot, but I think the beauty of this rubber is in it's versatility. Loopers, allround attackers, counterdrivers, basically anyone with a more offensively-oriented style can make good use of this rubber.

PROS: It has lots of spin, and is great for both forehand and backhand usage! It also has great control and lasts a long time!
CONS: Lasting a long time doesn't mean it is effective for a long time. I find that if I don't clean the rubber with Rushawa Foam Cleaner often, the rubber will play dead. It is also heavy and a little bit slow. lee eadigngton said this on July 28, 2009:
a very good allround or off- rubber. I currently use this on my backhand with 1.7 mm thicknes and it allows me to chop drive serve and has great control and touch and much much more. I suggest this rubber to a person who is not all out attack who is a player like off or off- and i would suggest this to a allround player Sage said this on August 11, 2009:
This rubber is very versatile. It Produces good spin at a controlled pace. It is not fast, but not slow. It used the 2.1 mm on my backhand for 7 months, and it played very consistent. looping backspin is a breeze! Looping sidespin serves is not as simple, as it has a slightly high throw angle. Overall this rubber is for a person who is looking for good speed, and powerful spin.

Great spin and great control with this rubber. It's got a nice tacky feel to it when you touch it. It's not as fast as most of the rubbers I've used, however has a decent speed to it.

I use this rubber for backhand and my chops have improved many folds. I love this rubber. Theres good control with blocks and attacking shots. Not too fast but good overall for intermediate players like me. Highly recommended. BeaverMD said this on January 25, 2010:
Excellent control-oriented tacky rubber from BTY. It's not as tacky as Chinese rubbers but its soft sponge and tacky topsheet gives nice spin generation. Decent speed with a fast blade. Very nice all around control and just a very good all around rubber with enough power to finish points. Basti0212 said this on January 26, 2010:
The speed is signicantly lower than the speed of the Palio CJ 8000 Biotech 39-41!!! The catapult effect is very low, therefore the control is very good! For forehand it's imo only a rubber for lower class player or beginner...

I use it for my FH and I must say its a very controlable rubber with good spin. It is not fast but it's fast enough to finish points. Its worthed the price. Also you must pair it with a harder blade.
