Description of CTT National Pride
A new generation of rubber. Pride has a large vertical pip structure combined with an aggressively tacky surface. Pride is especially suited for aggressive over the table attack and devastating spin. This rubber has the ability to maintain low arc with high spin giving your opponents much less time to adjust to attack shots. Designed for use at the highest levels of national play.

Reviews of the CTT National Pride hammer said this on April 30, 2013:
I am comparing this rubber to 729-5:
The sponge looks the same. The pips are the same diameter as 729-5's but a bit longer. This gives the top sheet a bit more bounce but also more flexibility which makes it easier to loop with. It seems tackier than 729-5 but time will tell. (Both rubbers are quite tacky when new.) I like this rubber, but then I also like 729-5. Others who like -5 might want to give this rubber a try. I plan to stick with this rubber and see how it ages but so far so good. I think the throw is lower than 729-5 but I've been able to adjust. Reviews of this rubber on Euro sites in other languages are pretty good but you have to search hard and translate them to read them! The rubber seems more popular outside N. America. |
