Reviews of the Donic Quattro A'Conda Medium Marcus said this on January 30, 2011:
Regardless of all of the hoopla about Tenergy, and offensive tensor rubbers in general, by far, one of the better rubbers ever made in my opinion is this Donic rubber. If you are an all round player, then all roads lead to this rubber. I have never tried the soft version, and I can only assume it's slower than the medium one, but I can attest to the virtue of putting a 1.5 to a 1.8 on an all round blade. Nothing is better to chop, block, and even loop with. I have no idea why Donic no longer makes this rubber. I can only assume it is because it lasts TOO long, they couldn't make any money off of it. This rubber is to table tennis as Aikido is to the martial arts. The only disadvantage to this rubber is that you cannot smash with it from a distance. When it is old, and by old I mean over 4 years old, it no longer generates great amount of spin, but it is still capable of blocking and chopping well. One thing that happened to my first sheet of it is that the pips beneath the surface shattered at my racquet's sweet spot, and I only changed the rubber because of this issue. I absolutely love this rubber. It is the Mark V of our time. Shame on Donic for no longer making it. I tried to contact the company to find out why, and because of a language barrier they couldn't explain to me why such is the case. In fact, the dude whose email I got had the audacity to say I use another version of the rubber which is thicker. igszoctan said this on January 4, 2013:
What are you talking about? It is under production. It can still be bought.
