Sonex JP Soft is marginally faster than F# Big Slam with about the same control. It does not have the control of Big Slam. Feels rather dead / lifeless compared to its softer brother, generates less spin and has a lower throw angle. Plays OK close to table, OK mid-court, poor back court.

Mark V is a better alternative.

Very fast for a soft rubber. Good for close to the table play but lacks offense away from the table because of the low throw angle.

This low throw rubber is great for fast and powerful blades. Very fast, catapult effect, ball charges forward after bounce and great control. You can even play from far away from the table. With average blades it's just nice average controllable rubber.
