Description of LKT Red Diamond
Advancement in rubber surface technology gives Red Diamond a big grip and spin advantage over other products. Revolutionary under pip structure gives Red Diamond superior spin at all speeds. Red Diamond also utilizes pressure treated sponge for quicker rebound and speed. Tackiness: Medium |

Red Diamond is a nice semi-tacky rubber with very good grip and medium speed. It is kinda like Cream MRS with a much livelier sponge. The throw angle is medium and there is enough pop in the rubber to play well both off the table and over the table. The topsheet is quite thick, similar to traditional Chinese topsheets. The sponce is light red. It is supposed to be 2.1mm, but looks thicker. Perhaps that is an aftereffect of the pressure box. I think the strength of this rubber is controlled looping. I could vary the spin and speed of the ball at will and the rubber never stalled. Pushing and blocking were good as well, but I really enjoyed the looping aspect of it: the topsheet has enough grip to be excellent for over the table looping, while the sponge allows for big loop drives off the table. I do not know if I will stick with it on the BH. I might go back to the Outlaw, but I can imaging that it would work really well for a lot of people on the FH. vanjr said this on March 12, 2010:
Looks a lot like cream on MRS, but much better at off the table looping than that rubber. I am not sure how long it lasts. It doesn't look "tuned" but plays like it is.

Very similar to LKT silver dragon, which I liked. Is this a tuned version? First not too fast, but after about 5 hours of play... slashattack said this on October 6, 2010:
Has a really nice feel for a chinese rubber. I like it more than 729 rubbers like Cream transcend and SP transcend. Fast, spinny, controllable. Beautiful for looping.

This rubber is massive, very serious offensive rubber. It seems the best price versus performance on the market right now. It's not the most spinny rubber in the world ,not the fastest, not the most controlled but it's oh so close with everything. It seems to work well on most blades but I found it really excelled on slower blades where it could get some more dwell time and height. It has more than enough speed to use on a slower blade and this helps with it's control also. All round an excellent offensive forehand rubber and I'd be surprised if you can buy a better one for $14. If you are using it on a blade faster than ALLround you would probably want to be an above average club player to be able to control it properly because it's certainly not a slow rubber zalive said this on November 6, 2010:
mind that this is low throw rubber. initial rating of throw which was middle to high actually fooled me so I decided to give this rubber a try, but I was disappointed with low throw. not a bad rubber at all, nice hardness (not hard nor soft) for FH, but I was looking for a higher throw rubber, so it wasn't for me exactly. also, I am not convinced by speed to be that high as it is described Woo said this on November 10, 2010:
This one plays REALLY good.
Very good control, good loops, good drives. Smashes are good too. Have it on Stiga Off Oversize. Very good mix but a bit heavy. Sponge is a bit hard, but works well. Good pop and speed in the sponge. Topsheet is nice and a bit tacky. Good for putting spin on the ball and still good control and not too affected by spin. My fav rubber for now. Bacterius said this on January 10, 2011:
Similar to T05FX but it's under in all parameters. It's good in everything but no more. Good choice if you're looking for a cheap material. Thomas_Smith said this on January 22, 2011:
The rubber isn't best in the class at anything but it's almost best in class at everything. Best under $20 rubber on the market, no sane person would be disappointed with this rubber

on my FH side on a Primo Vitesse, very good, very consistent and decent spin.
I can't really say on the durability since a small portion of the sponge cracked, and I've seen other new LKT rubber sponges break and shatter (Black Power and Red Diamond) Anonymous said this on March 12, 2011:
glue it on LKT Ayous Hinoki, easy to drive, looping but ball flying low angle, sometime just touching net. it is between slow and fast rubber. smash feels good and push is excellent. still trying it and hope it will outperform my famous palio cj8000. RBlade said this on April 16, 2011:
I'm making really spinny loops with it on my Galaxy J-1 Jpen. The throw for me is medium high. Blocking is ok, serves are pretty spinny and the control is great. I think I could also chop with it pretty well. Anonymous said this on May 31, 2011:
If you are an offensive player and play an intermediate level or better, this rubber is not worth to try unless you boost it or apply speed glue. Spin and speed are pretty mediocre. Just not worth it. It is like the old chinese rubber 729 Cream... So I dunno how one can compare it with Tenergy 05. Difference is like heaven and hell, man... RBlade said this on July 16, 2011:
Edit: I find it hard to lift backspin with this on my Galaxy J-1 Jpen NA said this on November 16, 2011:
For itd price is more than excellent, for average players who are still learning to play yanie said this on November 23, 2011:
same hardness as the T05-fx generates good spin. overall great rubber for the price. flea03 said this on February 5, 2012:
My current FH rubber. Leaps and bounds easier to loop/attack with than 729fx-c I was using before. Grips mainly from friction, the surface is not sticky and handles incoming spin well. Best $14 spent on rubber so far.
