Description of Stiga Boost TS
BOOST TS (Tension Sound) is the outstanding choice for offensive players of almost all playing levels who like soft sponge. Boost TS has soft sponge that gives a crisp clear sound when striking the ball. Even though the sponge is soft the rubber generates very good speed. The sponge on Boost TS rubber is softer than the sponge of Boost TC. The sound and feeling of Boost TS is unsurpassed! Boost TS enables offensive players of all abilities to play to their full potential.

Reviews of the Stiga Boost TS TTKing said this on August 17, 2010:
Such a good rubber. I player super attack and the amount of spin I can put on it is incredible. The speed is good too with shots flying past people. I can't belive the control either, soo easy to use. Just perfect for my game. The sound is amazing as well! Sounds just like speed glue which I loved. The sound helps my timing of the ball and when I hear that crisp sweet noise I know that ball ain't coming back! Not a 10 because someone beat me while I was using it once Woo said this on August 18, 2010:
Glad to see people liking this rubber and think it plays well. Shows people can make different use of different materials.
For me it didnt play well. The sponge is rediculously soft, lacking all power, giving momentum away. The topsheet seemed to be of very good quality though. I was beating myself up for not getting tp or tx instead. Anonymous said this on August 25, 2010:
Hi there people.... I play an allround game - I mainly attack but i have a strong chop which I use when neccesary to win points at vital stages in the game. Is the boost ts a good allround rubber ? Anonymous said this on August 28, 2010:
The boost st is a very good rubber. Its quality speed , incredibly good spin, brilliant control........ overall a fantastic rubber. wind_comm said this on December 13, 2010:
fantastic speed, spin, control and simply the amazing sound I've come to expect from Stiga (but I'm still amazed at every time. can't wait to try a Calibra Sound). works great in the mid-long distance game and doesn't really give up too much in the short game (especially when matched up with a nice blade)
needs to be broken in a little, but it kind of blows my mind that it can get better. the sponge might be too soft for some people though, seems to match up perfectly to my style. Khayyal said this on December 29, 2010:
Very wonderful sound. Spin more than good. Fantastic control. A perfect feeling.
Quality rubber . You can use it in both ( forehand and backhand ) It is actually a Fourth butterfly tenergy 05 rubber. What's mean that ??? it's a brilliant rubber and nice. What are you waiting for ???!!! Jane-Ove Waldner said this on February 17, 2011:
Awesome rubber! One of the the best f/h rubbers I've used! KingPong23 said this on May 28, 2011:
Very fast when topspin applied! Great catapult effect with a nice kick off the table! Soft loop is easy but pushing and blocking is touchy because of the bounciness of this rubber...fun to play with!

This is DA BOSS. Use it for forhand if you have an offensive blade and still want control on your forehand ThomasMotter said this on May 10, 2012:
beautiful rubber , very fast but great control . top spins go where you want them to go . feeling is a little more direct compared to tenergy 64 , top spins a little faster , less spinny , but more control then en64 . , throw angle lower. one of the best rubbers i´ve played

Great rubber, i used it in the fh for a year; good control, cool sound, the speed is great but i prefer a rubber fastest. If you hit the ball flatly permanently i dont recomend it, because the sponge is very soft and that kind of power hit cause serious damages in the rubber and reduce his lifetime.

I would not compare Boost TS with Tenergy because they not so similar. Boost (whichever) has very low angle (T: high), less spin. I had some problems on returning services (not with T), also did not feel so good on short to sort.
I have been admiring J.O.Waldner, but not all the players have his knowledge and "soft" hand - and the Boost rubbers do not forgive the errors. Nevertheless I agree this is a very good rubber - but not for anyone. |
