Description of Stiga Calibra LT Sound
Calibra LT Sound from STIGA has a soft sponge, making this rubber suitable for all types of players that like the attacking game. With the softer sponge you get more control, especially for blocks and receiving serves, but you are still able to make lethal strokes to finish your opponent. The soft sponge on the Calibra LT Sound will also give you a crisp clear sound when striking the ball. This is the closest you will get to the feeling and sound of speed glue! With the Calibra series STIGA has created a totally new dimension to the game. We focused on creating a longer trajectory on the ball, as a long trajectory in today''s game is more and more important. The combination of spin, speed and long trajectory is unique to this rubber series; you have never felt this level of play before. With the Calibra LT rubbers you will be able to perform strokes and shots never before possible. You will still have control for all the small shots and service return, but when you are attacking you will be in a totally new world. The Calibra LT series will take your game to another level. |

Reviews of the Stiga Calibra LT Sound marcello said this on September 17, 2010:
best rubber ever see. good speed fantastic spin and incredible control. The sound is a world apart. From now I play with it. AndySmith said this on October 1, 2010:
Fast, and extremely soft-sponged. Makes the most ridiculous glue-effect noise I have ever heard. Even louder than F3 Big Slam.
Speed is good, blocking good. Looping is really nice from distance, and it's not so bouncy, so the short game isn't too tricky. The latest generation of tensors all seem to be less bouncy. The only problem I had was the throw angle seems to be very low on smashes. So, all of my hits away from the table went straight into the net at first. Just need to stick with it for a few hours, and you will adjust. TTF_THA said this on December 22, 2010:
very like this rubber loop smash hit easy for beginner to pro... AMG said this on December 23, 2010:
Same as Claibra LT but softer sponge giving better control and making it more suitable for a BH. i found it easy to block with LT Sound on my BH. Also BH loops were more spiny because of the more dwell time this rubber offer Anonymous said this on January 22, 2011:
It is really a rubber with a lot of in built glue effect ! Not good at all for pushing the ball, only for topspin or flat hitting. Really very nice sound (plop!) like speed glueing ! Only for attacking style of play !! I play a red 2,0 mm on a Donic Waldner Carbon wood. Khayyal said this on March 8, 2011:
In my opinion
this is not best rubber but is very good to play with. I prefer stiga Boost Tx and Boost Tc than stiga calibra LT sound Thanks the rubber control and spins of these rubbers .. However, The calibra LT sound is perfect who play offensive style only. bowmanp93 said this on March 29, 2011:
It seems amazing out of the wrapper and then the speed and spin drop slightly and plateau after about ten hours of use.

this rubber is out of this world i use to play with mendo energy on stiga nano all+ blade but now i play with my gambler arlyte-carbon blade and stiga calibra lt sound 2.0 and it works wonders the spin the sound and the speed is really nice good job stiga SPQR said this on April 21, 2011:
I've played Calibra LT sound on almost any kind of blade: fast-stiff, fast-flex, slow-stiff, slow-flex. It's a very good BH rubber if you drive and block mainly, the throw is very low and the spin is null. I really do not understand how people can state LT sound is a spinny rubber!
On the other hand is surely the fastest rubber on the market Anonymous said this on April 21, 2011:

Absolutely awesome rubber! Awesome spin, speed and great control! Much easier than Stiga Boost IMO. Livalex said this on November 23, 2011:
I love the dull, deafening sound it produces. Calibra LT sound never fails you and boosts your confidence and versatility to a higher level. Just put your passion for the game and it does the rest. An overall rubber made for high-aiming performers. Davey1 said this on January 21, 2012:
Best rubber on the market followed by T05 and Palio Thors or Tibhar Sinus-is a brillant rubber and this is evident from the second you open the wrapper.

Its one of the best rubbers i have ever used...I used Calibra sound on my BH and i am awesome on blocks with it...I highly recomend it....

Fast ,high spin rubber, good control. Seems to suffer from edge crumble(black sheet). Using it on offensive + blade with better results for myself on forehand side of play. Had Calibra on both sides of the bat but found it too fast. So taken off sheet of Calibra LT. Overall I think the Calibra rubbers are very impressive, you just need the handskills or slower blade! to use them to maximum effect.Rubber is very capable in short play as well.

The sponge is sooooooooooo brittle you'll only be able to glue it ONCE, after that if you want to remove it you're almost certain to ruin the sponge and makes it useless
The only quality of this rubber : it is light, it's NOT fast and it's NOT powerful, ok it's noisy, but that's it. zargo2081 said this on November 29, 2012:
Fast rubber with great control, sound when hitting a topspin is simply (fun) ... at first I thought it was even faster, so used it on my forehand but levels of rotation and speed of the ball was not enough to throw off my opponents, now use my backhand and experience significantly improved, control is very good and in a bachhand smash speed is adequate, although the sound is not the same.

This rubber is wonderful. Very fast and amazing control. Helps keep the bat weight down, love this quality very much. Makes a loud sound when you hit well. I use this on my FH max black on Bty Zhang Jike. Truly wonderful rubber, love the speed with which you can loop, excellent control. Best value for money. Will try Calibra LT next when my Tenergy 05 dies. Highly recommended.

Great feeling rubber. Can block anything. I use it on backhand of a Stiga Clipper, and I tell you it can block any spin, any speed, from almost any impact; it takes all the pop out of any opponent's attack. Great gripping feeling when attacking (both drive and loop). Could be more spinny, but not a big drawback. Makes less sound than my Calibra LT does actually, but on the toughest attacks does return a very woody-sound (probably b/c of my wood blade, but still). Also it is quite deceptive on attacks; the ball jumps off this rubber and surprises opponents. The throw angle is pretty high, which takes some getting used to, but isn't a drawback. Highly recommend it.
