Description of Xiom Omega 2 Asian
Breaking the Barrier of 2008 Speed Glue Ban Awesome Power and Extra Precision Already Without Speed Glue The performance leader of upcoming era. Awesome performance is created by the next generation of breakthrough technology - TENSOR BIOS. TENSOR BIOS created a maximum effect of speed glue inside the rubber. The built-in glue effect eliminates the need of Liquid gluing which will be banned from 2008 September. Built-in speed glue effect is virtually 100% without speed gluing. OMEGA II without any speed gluing demonstrates more powerful performance than any rubbers normally glued. Extra consistency and precision greatly improve the success rate of technical strokes in high speed game. OMEGA II is developed for the professional players of offensive style. Adoption to these great characters may take a few days of practice, because the power from the maximized built-in speed is far beyond your experience. Please apply the glue just enough to attach the rubber to the blade. Over-gluing or re-gluing will rather reduce the performance of OMEGA II which is already at the peak of speed glue effect. DO NOT SPEED GLUE Also known as Xiom Omega II Asian |

Reviews of the Xiom Omega 2 Asian gekogark1212 said this on October 29, 2008:
The Omega 2 is for all out attackers. If you can control this beast, it plays an UNCOMPROMISINGLY offensive game. But be warned, the bounciness and speed comes at a cost, this rubber could actually be THE HARDEST to play with in short game (unless you flick)...but I've also heard some people are okay with it...but "try before you buy", it's not for everybody.
Glenn said this on June 13, 2009:
This rubber is extremely fast - the fastest of the Omega series. While it claims to have a hard sponge, i find it around the same as the Roxon 450, and much softer than typical chinese rubbers. This is especially obvious after some usage of the rubber whereby the initial pumped up bounciness of rubber making it feel harder disappears.
This is simply the fastest rubber i've tried. (there is NO comparision with Tenergy - 64, 05 or 25). It smacks extremely well but i find it lacking in the loop department. Spin isn't there. Im not sure who would suit it. Probably i fast forehand minded player or a J-pen player? I agree with Geko below me. Try it before you buy. Its not for everyone. burt said this on May 3, 2012:
pretty simple to give a review for this, fairly poor control, good spin but the highlight of this rubber is the speed. Unless your used to using lighting fast rubbers, you will need to practise a few sessions before you get used to this, but when you do your shots will be bombs, simple as! tybritton5 said this on February 22, 2013:
Agree entirely with Glenn and gekogark. Speed is fabulous, and spin has room for improvement. The ok spin and high speed make it difficult to control (especially when cutting in my opinion).
As said, great for smashers and attacks. I use with Xiom Hayabusa Zxi. |
