Description of Xiom Sigma 1 Europe

Sigma series finally built an extra power effect of speed glue mechanically in 'Hyper Elasto' rubbers. Advance to Internal Mechanic Boost (IMB) system of 'Hyper Elasto' technology perfects the effect without illegal aids like speed glue or boosters. This is a historic development of rubber production. Black Carbo Sponge harnesses the power of 'Hyper Elasto' IMB generation. Special construction of Carbo Sponge gives an extraordinary advantage to rubber dynamics. IMB rubber with Carbo Sponge also responds more precisely to the player's intention. New Win Fit Shape of Sigma series declares the new era of historic IMB rubber production. Review silva said this on March 21, 2012:

perfect rubber for me. i am a looper and this rubber is so spiny, i was surprised. i recently switched from Butterfly to Xiom and i have absolutely no regrets at all. i think xiom is the company to look out for in the future!!
Review Rino said this on May 20, 2012:

very good rubber, speed very fast. it can generate top spin, fast spin, loop drive very easily. i put on my FH blade DHS Hurrican Hao III. AMAZING if compare to the price.

Fantastic rubber. Finally it is close to say Tenergy good by!!
Everything you need for offensive play is inbilt in XSE. Better and longer perfomances copmared to Tenergy.Congratulations to XIOM

Excellent control, when sticked on allround blade (not too fast wood do not give too early impact to ball).

I have Sigma Euro on BH and Sigma Pro on FH. I do not feel big difference in these two Sigma rubbers.

Somebody seems to have given near 0 values for this rubber without giving reasons for bad values in text.

Being a user of t05 I noticed a thicker topsheet, blazing speed, easy to respond to spin & loop, chop just over the net. I would definitely replace t05 with this rubber due to its rediculous price. From now on it's XIOM all the way !!!!!
Review 6655au said this on July 6, 2012:

Amazing rubber !
Champion in each aspect (loop, chop, spin, drive, push) ! Controlible over the table as well as at mid distance and far away from the table. Cheaper considerably than BTY Tenergy family (36$-at TNPP.com)! Try it if you are atacker or allrounder and you wont be sorry.
All compliments to XIOM !!
Review Hozze said this on August 7, 2012:

Even though I've been perfectly happy with my earlier BH-rubber (Rakza 7 Soft) I couldn't resist trying the Sigma Europe based on the rave reviews.

And absolutely, it's a very good rubber, even though I feel its ratings are slightly inflated. Very good speed, excellent spin and good control. Nice linear gears as well, even though it takes some care in the short game. The sponge feels fairly hard, but a soft topsheet still gives a medium feel.

In the end I won't be keeping it though. It's just too heavy for my setup and while very good, I feel it still doesn't offer me a real upgrade over the Rakza, which is noticably lighter.

So, if I had any brains I'd go back to the Rakza. But instead I've decided to try the Haifu Shark III first, as I've heard good things about it and really like Haifu's upgraded sponge.

And the equipment whoring goes on... :/

Best rubber for FH & very good durability,Spin is Good with speed,I'm using in Ma-long alc ply,But only thing is receiving & push is not that much easy to control, but good in blocks & attacking return topspins. But after good practice You can even hit the service & control it.best suited for off blades,Mine is OFF++ blade.
Review CornelTT said this on December 4, 2012:

Absolutely great rubber. I used to play with T05 and I think Sigma Europe is even better: control and spin are fantastic, speed more than enough (not the fastest, just perfect).
I just love this rubber after 3 months of playing with it. Xiom seems to be the future of the high quality rubbers.

(updated jan 2013)

This is a great backhand rubber, with huge grip and low throw. not good for forehand because it does not have spin nor enough speed in powerloops.

Low throw and straight arc, so it is good for blocking (and looping) on bh.

Incredibly spinny on openings and pushes. spin is not good in powerloops as it bottoms out.

Fast on backhand, not enough on forehand due to the bottoming out.

What is especially puzzling is that this rubber, while being very grippy, is not very spin sensitive in blocks. It blocks really well.

Blocks and drives are fantastic.

hardness: medium. softer than sigma pro. But much harder than vega europe. It is harder than coppa x2 or acuda s2.

So is this the perferct rubber for backhand? Well probably yes. Is this the perfect rubber for forehand? No. Aurus for example is much better: faster, higher throw, more spin in powerloops. Sigma pro could be a good choice if you like low throw on fh. Also M2, M1, rakza 7, rakza 9, are much better choices on fh.

Very good rubber to play with..the speed + spin can be extremely high if u get used with it. no probs for loop,drive,chop,blocking.. luv the way of arc produced from this rubber..suitable for allround offnsive play like me..overall worth to buy!

Awesome versatile rubber!
Review tybritton5 said this on May 1, 2013:

The speed is very good and, barring speed junkies, should be more than enough: as is the rubber is about as fast as it can be without compromising control. I find it much easier and more effective to stroke and than many other rubbers I have used.

The spin is also very good. Loops are easy and provide good spin. Smashing I think is where this rubber shines. Flicks are equally effective and very quick as this rubber is a tad "bouncy" in my opinion.

The spin provided - as well as this rubbers ability to ignore the opponent's spin - by pushes is great, though at first was a bit hard to control. And despight having a bit of bounce I have no problem putting a light touch on balls to drop them just over the net.

Blocking is really fantastic too as it propells the ball back quickly and absorbs a good deal of the spin.

Gears are "above average" in my opinion, as I have played with several other rubbers that are better in this department.

I also think that coupling with a medium stiff blade would be a good idea to lend to the control and spin. Using it on my hard blade has, for me, been a bit detrimental for my ability to get full use out of the rubber I think.

Overall a truly fantastic rubber for BH I HIGHLY recommend this rubber to any all round offensive player. For aggressive attackers or aggressive loopers- depending on your playing style- I think there are more specialized rubbers out there. That being said, this rubber does everything very well.

Faster than being spinnier. Very good, not the best, control. Good sound. Very solid, can't go wrong, rubber.
Review Espondilitico said this on May 6, 2013:

Excellent rubber, great speed and control.
Review janek said this on May 11, 2013:

for me this rubber has more speed then spin, sometimes doesen't grab the ball and its like 2 weeks old .will not buy thia rubber again.Acuda s1 for me its much better offensive rubber .Good luck to all TT players

Its a great bh rubber. If i where to choose a bh rubber i would go for this one. Good in recieving service. Very good when looping. And blocks are pretty easy. Not sure how long this rubber lasts but i have another as backup.

just played with this rubbers after year of sriver g3 fx fair to say xiom best fh rubber ive ever played with spinney with loads of control excellent rubber now need new fh rubber
Review Jacco said this on December 13, 2013:

October 7, 2013: First when i glued it to my blade and started to play i felt it was a slow rubber and hard to control. But after about a week of playing i founded the feeling for the rubber and i could produce very spinny loops. It is a fast rubber, even if there are faster rubbers than this one but combinated to the high spin and control it is amazing!

Push: good control, good spin
Flick/flip: fast flicks with this rubber!
Loop: Fast and SPINNY! Great loops far and close to the table.
Loop (from backspin): Very spinny, hard to get it fast without practice.
Spin on serve: Great!
Smash: this is absolutely the best rubber i have tried for smash! Amazing!! So fast!
Lob: This rubber is not for lobbing but it works.

This is a spinny, fast and controlable rubbber! Very good!!

EDIT: December 13, 2013: I use this rubber on fh and now i just have to say that this is one of the best rubbers i've ever used for fh looping! So fast and so spinny!!! Maybe not that fast but the spin is really good in loops. Sometimes when i'm warming up with players which are far better than me, and they block and i loop they can't sometimes get down the incredible topspin on the table and looks at their rackets like it was impossible! Thats very funny :)
So it have an incredible spin. But not THAT spinny on pushes unfortunately.
Review mtg6792 said this on February 19, 2014:

Works extremely well as a backhand rubber. It keeps the ball low, is great for short game, very effective for topspin and sidespin service return or mid-distance full strokes, and blocks pretty well.

On the hard tilts and smashes the rubber releases a great deal of spin, making backhand smashes almost un-returnable.
Review chaohero said this on March 2, 2014:

I am a penhold player, my racket is RSM platinum special (10.5 mm thickness), this rubber fit the blade well, balances spin and speed, good for mid distance. Comparing to Vega Pro, more speed, more stable counter-loop, but less gears and power in close table attack. Overall, this rubber is good for pen-holders

I play on fh with xiom aigis blade I can loop I can block rather difficult for small game on the table great 1 to 3 meters away from the table. . More info within a months

very good rubber !!! good on topspin, block...for me is the best on BH
Review baron_karza said this on January 8, 2015:

The Cover sheet is compact and grippy, the sponge is porous but consistent. Pretty versatile rubber: quite fast, fair control, still rather hard for wrt the typical European rubbers. HUGE difference when put on a stiff blade or a flexible one... try to believe!
