Description of Yasaka Mark V AD

The soft sponge version of the classic Mark V provides the player with two distinct options: With speed glue, it becomes the quintessential high speed, high spin rubber used in today's modern topspin game. With conventional glue, AD provides soft touch a excellent control, while still generating plenty of spin and speed

I believe this rubber was designed to be used with speed glue, so my experience with it may not be entirely fair. It's a good rubber, it loops and blocks well, but I know it's not the one for me. I only have two complaints about it, 1. it comes with virtually no tack and whatever it does come with is gone in a few days of playing. That's not too big of a deal, it's more personal preference. 2. without gluing, this thing kind of feels like hitting with a shag rug. You never really get a good feel for contact. Given, I'm playing max thickness, but I've played other max rubbers with about the same density and there was much better feedback. I think regular old Mark V may be a better choice that this stuff.

Nice Rubber... Soft, NonTacky but Grippy. Easy to loop/topspin attack and good for blocking. Serve is quite ok even not as spinny as chinese rubbers. High dwell time, good control.

durable.

at first, it was quite uncontrollable but I think it was because I wasn't used to it. overall, this rubber is spinny but it doesn't have enough speed and control. this rubber has medium-high throw angle and it's not so good for close-to-table player
