Description of Yasaka New Era
As soon as you hit the ball with New Era, you will feel the difference from other rubber sheets. As the name implies, New Era offers new possibilities. For offensive players who want to counterattack, there is a new feeling and a new way to use the energy in the most efficient way. New Era is a high-tech product with Latent Energy Inside technology. Yasaka uses a new revolutionary gluing technique to attach the top sheet to the sponge. It keeps the rubber and the sponge in a constantly expanded form. Speed-gluing not recommended. |

New Era is a very good rubber for an advanced offensive player. I hgihly recommend it! There is also only ONE version of Yasaka New Era, so the green, pink, and other covers with control, speed , and spin Yasaka New Era are all FAKE! The real New Era should have a cartoon like cover. rickdude said this on October 27, 2009:
I'm a C Pen player, though by no means an advanced offensive player. For what it's worth I find I get great spin, good control, and more than adequate speed using New Era on my forehand on a Donic Appelgren Allplay blade (a slowish allround blade).
However, there's no trace of New Eras in Japan now, and apparently Yasaka don't make it any more, so I suspect that many, like me, will soon be looking for a replacement. kiva said this on August 21, 2010:
the new era i think is best for playing back hand strokes.it is strong and good for offfensive players looking for a strong backhand kiva said this on August 28, 2010:

I compared this rubber to a Mark V both of them in max. What I noticed is that is much harder and has lower throw that is what I liked about this rubber which is very good in the backhand but not as good as the Mark V on the forehand. ttsava said this on June 21, 2011:

After using New Era for 3 weeks, I found that it is hard to control it... However the spin is very good especially the loop... New Era is suitable for the advance player... It is fun to use it... baron_karza said this on March 25, 2012:
pretty hard, not that fast as expected, though; hard to master, needs strong skill; definitely for advanced attackers; IMO better for BH.
