Description of Galaxy Venus 2
The Venus 2 rubber updates Galaxy's original Venus rubber with their new 'Arbalest Sponge' providing the same high spin, but giving it a noticeable speed increase while reducing the weight slightly. The surface of this rubber is tacky in the same way as other tacky Chinese rubber, but less so than the Galaxy Apollo. One item to note about the new Venus II is the improved range of 'gears' in the sponge. Venus II slows down to handle a push game better than most controlled rubbers, and speeds up to provide strong loops and counter-loops. In the middle of those two points, the rubber plays smooth and predictable, a rare feat. Tackiness: Medium |

Pretty amazing rubber, I use the red for my forehand and the black for my backhand! Red is tackier than the black. Both have so much spin and power! Amazing for loops and chopping. I use the galaxy y-4 blade and the combination gives so much feel for the ball, loads of control and so much speed and spin! Best rubber ever for the price.

You read and hear alot about YinHe/Milky Way Moon and Sun rubbers, but Venus 2 is similar quality. 10 out of 10 overall - value for dollar is excellent.

its marketing says alternatives to expensive butterfly..so i bought one..it's not even close but it plays good (as always for chinese rubber its potential come after few hours of playing)..Its tackiness gone after few hours of playing but still got decent grip on the ball

(34deg. red max) rubber is very nice for BH and nightmare on FH. throw on fast strokes is VERY LOW. blocks, flicks, punch-blocks and other wristy stuff are pretty impressive and nice click sound is there, but if you want looping with this...just forget it

Blade: T-11
Venus 2 37 degree 2.0 Wild out of the carton, spent couple hours on the robot to get it to settle down. Very nice rubber, just ordered the 33 degree to try. Works well with the T-11 but keep your form in line! Expect explosive counter drives, but has a good feel for the short game and loops both on top spin and back spin balls. For the money a great combo with this blade. 33 degree with 2.0: on T-11 Not as explosive as the 37 degree but better on loops/serves and control was improved. Will order the 37 degree with 1.8 |
