Dawei Inspirit Quattro Ultralight Power 42

Review of Dawei Inspirit Quattro Ultralight Power 42Read the other IQUL reviews if you want general info about Dawei IQUL rubbers. I will add that this is the hardest (around 40 on DHS scale) version of IQUL, therefore the speediest and the least sensitive rubber in that range. I would advise to use on FH for loopers used to having something like a glued Sriver L, or on BH for blockers/counterdrivers who want to slow down their fast blade for better control on backhand but still keep good speed and excellent flat game on that side. Mostly for players who have advanced technique and good touch control - otherwise stick with IQUL 40/35.Oct 28, 2010

Gambler Wraith (Wrath)

Review of Gambler Wraith (Wrath)Extremely reliable and useful rubber - tackiness helps a lot over the table, with loops (especially slow ones). At the same time the sponge is springy, Japanese-style and therefore gives you enough speed and bounce to play even several steps away from the table (absolutely none of that mushy feeling you sometimes get from tacky rubbers even if they are fast). Blocks are good too. This is a great inexpensive rubber for those who play placement-oriented controlled offensive or allround game, but once in a while need a fast shot or a smash as well. Slightly harder and faster than Shadow. Plays great on my BH but is also quite comfortable on FH.Jan 06, 2010

Giant Dragon Karate Hard

Review of Giant Dragon Karate HardGreat backhand rubber for my style. Not too sensitive to the incoming spin, great control (especially in 2.0 thickness), very confident in everything. Quite similar to glued Sriver L but a bit springier and harder sponged (around 40 degrees). I started using it instead of Gambler Outlaw and lost almost none of the speed, hardness or insensitivity (which is great when playing against LP, MP, anti) but added some control in short game and spin.Oct 28, 2010

LKT Rapid Speed

Review of LKT Rapid SpeedBest out of Rapid series. Does everything well. Relatively low throw, fast, spinny, good topsheet, very confident and pretty much linear. This is more or less a cheap contemporary substitute for Sriver L (no regluing required!). Sensitivity is also pretty low, which is good. Very good control in short game. Don't put it on bouncy carbon blades - combo would be too much to handle for an under 2200 player (unless you are an all-out attacker who doesn't care much for touch & placement shots). I prefer it on BH but it can play on FH as well (you just need a flexier blade if you intend to loop with it).Again - one of the best of the new generation rubbers under $30-40 dollars (it's $14 actually). LKT Rapid Soft

Review of LKT Rapid SoftI agree with JimC. Good cheap replacement for Sriver FX, and also very good for beginning players who need to concentrate on technique development. Could work even with slow blades if you do not step away from the table.Oct 28, 2010

Palio Macro Era

Review of Palio Macro EraPME 47.5. This is the only rubber that sells for under $30 (or even $50) which can approach and even improve on Tenergy 05 for me (we are talking about FH here). Great speed, a touch less spin than T-05, same hardness and definitely way less sensitivity to the other guy's spin. This is a real ESN tensor with lots of click, speed and spin. Plays great on soft or med-soft blades, including OFF and OFF- ones (Galaxy W-1, T-8, Nexy Color, 729 V-6, TBS etc.).
